Buy Front Wiper Blade Set – 6R2 998 002 for VW Polo [6R] – Genuine Volkswagen Parts in Stock

Product Overview

The Genuine Volkswagen Front Wiper Blade Set (OEM Part Number: 6R2 998 002) is the premium replacement solution for your Polo [6R]. Designed to match the exact curvature of the Polo’s windscreen, these blades provide unmatched clearing efficiency, ensuring crystal-clear visibility regardless of the weather conditions.

As a Genuine Volkswagen (OEM) product, this set features advanced aero-wiper technology. Unlike conventional bracket-style blades, these flat-profile blades distribute pressure evenly across the entire length of the glass. This prevents streaking, reduces wind noise at high speeds, and provides a silent, smooth operation that protects your windscreen from premature scratching.

Compatibility & Fitment

This wiper blade set is purpose-built for the Volkswagen Polo [6R] and [6C] series.

• Compatible Models: Volkswagen Polo Hatchback [6R] and [6C].

• Years: 2009–2017.

• Fitment Note: The 6R2 998 002 set is designed specifically for the UK (Right-Hand Drive) configuration. Always ensure your vehicle year falls within the specified range to guarantee the correct blade length and connector type.

Why Genuine Aero-Wipers are Essential

Visibility is the most critical safety factor when driving in the UK. Generic aftermarket blades often lack the precise aerodynamics required for the Polo’s high-speed performance and specific glass curve.

• Aero-Dynamic Profile: Designed to use airflow to press the blade firmly against the glass, preventing “lift” at motorway speeds.

• Integrated Spoiler: Minimizes chatter and noise, providing a near-silent wiping experience.

• Winter Durability: The blade compound is formulated to remain flexible in sub-zero temperatures and resist the drying effects of summer sun, preventing cracking.

Performance Benefits

• Streak-Free Vision: Ensures maximum contact area for a clear view of the road in heavy downpours.

• Safety First: Essential for passing the MOT test and maintaining vehicle roadworthiness.

• Protecting Your Windscreen: High-quality rubber compounds prevent the “juddering” motion often found with worn or low-quality blades, which can cause micro-scratches on the glass over time.

• Ease of Replacement: Being a genuine set, they utilize the factory-standard “click-in” connector, making replacement a simple, tool-free process.

Build Quality & Engineering

Genuine Volkswagen parts are manufactured to “Formula Q” quality standards. The 6R2 998 002 set features:

• Precision-Tensioned Metal Rail: Provides consistent pressure along the full length of the rubber edge.

• Advanced Rubber Compound: Treated for maximum durability and water-repelling properties.

• Corrosion-Resistant Hardware: Designed to withstand the moisture, salt, and road grit prevalent on UK roads.

Installation & Maintenance

We recommend replacing your wiper blades every 12 months or as soon as you notice streaking or reduced clarity.

• Installation: Simply lift the wiper arm, depress the release tab on the connector, and slide the old blade out. Click the new 6R2 998 002 blade into place.

• Pro-Tip: Clean your windscreen thoroughly with a glass cleaner before fitting the new blades to ensure no contaminants compromise the new rubber edge.

Durability & Storage

Supplied in official Volkswagen packaging, this set should be kept in a dry place. The rubber compound is sensitive to extreme chemical exposure; keeping it in the original box until needed ensures the edges remain sharp and effective.
