Buy Genuine ID.4 & ID.5 Door Sill Protector Foil Kit – 11A 071 310 ZMD

Enhance and protect your Volkswagen ID.4 or ID.5 with the Genuine Volkswagen Door Sill Protector Foil Kit (Part Number: 11A 071 310 ZMD). Designed specifically for the ID series, this kit provides a stylish, durable barrier against everyday scuffs, scratches, and paint wear in your vehicle’s most high-traffic entry points.

Product Overview

The 11A 071 310 ZMD protector kit is not merely an accessory—it is a preventative maintenance solution. These precision-cut adhesive foils are finished in a sleek Black and Silver motif that perfectly complements the modern, high-tech interior of the ID.4 and ID.5. By covering the vulnerable paintwork on your door sills, these protectors ensure that your vehicle remains in showroom condition, resisting the inevitable damage caused by footwear during daily entry and exit.

Compatibility & Fitment

This kit is engineered to provide a flush, seamless fit for the specific sill geometry of the ID series.

• Models: Volkswagen ID.4 (2021–Present) and ID.5 (2022–Present).

• OEM Part Number: 11A 071 310 ZMD.

• Kit Contents: 4-piece set (Front and Rear door sills).

• Configuration: Specifically for 5-door models.

Importance of Correct Fitment: Genuine Volkswagen door sill foils are manufactured using the exact CAD data of your vehicle’s bodywork. This ensures they adhere perfectly to the curves of the sill, resisting peeling and bubbling—common issues with inferior, aftermarket universal protective strips.

Key Features & Benefits

• Robust Protection: High-grade foil that stands up to heavy use, protecting your paint from gravel, debris, and shoe contact.

• Premium Aesthetic: The Black/Silver finish adds a factory-original, custom touch that elevates the look of your threshold.

• Weather Resilience: Engineered to withstand moisture, temperature fluctuations, and automotive cleaning chemicals without degrading.

• Safety & Stability: Once applied, they provide a non-slip texture that helps during safe entry and exit of the vehicle.

Build Quality & Engineering

• Automotive-Grade Adhesive: Utilizes a professional-strength bonding agent that ensures longevity while remaining paint-safe.

• Durable Foil Technology: The material is specifically selected to be thin enough for a low-profile look but dense enough to absorb the impact of accidental kicks or luggage contact.

• UV-Stable: The colours and finish are resistant to sunlight, preventing the fading or discolouration often seen on cheaper third-party alternatives.

Installation Instructions

For the best results, ensure the vehicle is clean and dry:

1. Clean: Thoroughly clean the door sill area using an isopropyl alcohol wipe to remove all wax, grease, and dirt.

2. Position: Align the foil with the contour of the sill without removing the backing paper to ensure you have the correct orientation.

3. Apply: Carefully peel the backing and apply the foil, starting from one edge and pressing down firmly with a soft cloth to remove any trapped air bubbles.

4. Cure: Allow the adhesive to set for at least 24 hours in a dry environment for maximum bond strength.
