Buy Golf 8 [5H] Rear Wiper Blade – Genuine Volkswagen Parts

Product Description

The Genuine Volkswagen Golf 8 [5H] Rear Wiper Blade (OEM Part Number: 5H6 955 427) is the essential component for maintaining clear visibility through your rear screen in all driving conditions. Whether you are navigating heavy rain, morning mist, or road spray, a worn wiper blade can compromise your safety by leaving distracting streaks and causing frustrating chattering noises.

This genuine OEM blade is engineered specifically for the unique sweep pattern and rear window curvature of the Golf 8 hatchback. Unlike generic supermarket blades, this component ensures consistent pressure across the entire length of the rubber, delivering a smooth, silent, and efficient wipe that protects your rear glass from unnecessary scratching.

Compatibility & Fitment

This rear wiper blade is a direct-fit replacement for the Volkswagen Golf 8 [5H] hatchback model.

• OEM Reference: 5H6 955 427.

• Engineering Precision: Designed to match the specific length and attachment mechanism of the Golf 8 rear wiper arm. Using the correct OEM part guarantees a perfect “click” fit, preventing the blade from lifting or skipping at motorway speeds.

• Importance of Fitment: The Golf 8 rear wiper assembly requires a specialized fitment. Using this genuine part ensures the blade sits flush against the glass, maximizing the service life of both the blade and your rear wiper motor.

How It Works

• Dual-Material Compound: Genuine VW blades utilize a precision-engineered rubber compound—a sturdy base for structural stability and a soft friction edge for flawless water removal.

• Performance: Over time, UV light and road debris cause rubber to harden. Replacing your blade with the 5H6 955 427 restores the “factory-new” clearing performance, which is vital for safe reversing and parking.

Performance Benefits

• Streak-Free Visibility: Provides a clear, unobstructed view behind you.

• Silent Operation: Engineered to glide silently across the glass without the annoying chatter of worn blades.

• Long-Term Durability: Tested to survive thousands of cycles in extreme weather—from freezing UK winters to the heat of summer.

• Perfect Fit: Snaps onto your existing wiper arm in seconds—no tools or adapters required.

Installation & Maintenance

Replacing your wiper blade is one of the easiest and most important DIY maintenance tasks.

• Fitting: Simply lift the rear wiper arm, release the locking clip, remove the old blade, and click the new 5H6 955 427 blade into place.

• Tip: Clean the rear window thoroughly before installing the new blade to ensure the fresh rubber isn’t immediately degraded by grit and old residue.
