Restore your Tiguan’s visibility and wiper performance with the Genuine Volkswagen Nearside (Passenger Side) Front Wiper Arm (Part Number: 5N2 955 409). Designed specifically for the Tiguan [5N2] (2012–2016 facelift) model, this component ensures that your wiper blade maintains the correct pressure and sweep angle across the windscreen, preventing streaking and skipping.

Product Overview

Over time, the spring mechanism within a wiper arm can weaken, or the splines can wear down due to prolonged use, leading to poor wiping contact and uneven performance. As a genuine VW component, this replacement arm is manufactured to meet the exact tension and geometry specifications of your Tiguan [5N2], guaranteeing a perfect fit and reliable operation.

Compatibility & Fitment

Safety and precision are our top priorities. This part is designed for a direct, “plug-and-play” replacement.

• Compatible Models: Volkswagen Tiguan [5N2] (2012–2016).

• Fitment: Engineered for an exact match to the factory-installed arm. It utilizes the original mounting bolt and splined connection to ensure a secure, rattle-free fitment.

• Importance: Choosing genuine Volkswagen parts avoids the compatibility issues often found with aftermarket wiper arms, which may not provide the correct sweep arc or tension, potentially leading to damaged windscreens.

Performance Benefits

• Optimized Tension: Correct spring pressure ensures the wiper blade follows the contour of the windscreen perfectly, preventing “missed” spots.

• Durability: Manufactured from high-grade, corrosion-resistant materials, specifically tested to withstand heavy snow, rain, and UV exposure.

• Secure Fit: Precision-machined splines ensure the arm remains fixed in position, even at high motorway speeds or during heavy wiper use.

• Perfect Geometry: Maintains the factory-intended sweep angle, maximizing the clearing area for the passenger.

Build Quality

Volkswagen genuine components are stress-tested for endurance. The protective finish is designed to prevent rust and oxidation, ensuring that the arm looks clean and professional on your vehicle for years to come.

Installation & Maintenance

Installation is a standard automotive procedure:

1. Removal: Carefully remove the plastic protective cap, unscrew the retaining nut, and use a wiper arm puller tool to safely disengage the old arm from the splined motor shaft.

2. Replacement: Position the new arm at the factory-marked “park” position on the windscreen.

3. Secure: Replace the nut, tighten to the manufacturer’s specified torque, and snap the protective cap back into place.

Recommendation: Replace your wiper blades at the same time to ensure you get the best performance from your new arm.
